A country I would like to visit

I do not want to die without having known Turkey. This country is located between Europe and Asia and three seas: Mediterranean Sea, Aegean Sea and Black Sea by what is considered transcontinental. Turkey is surrounded by many countries such as Georgia, Armenia, Iran, Bulgaria, Greece, Syria and southeast Iraq.

Turkey has been part of a historic crossroads between eastern and western cultures and civilizations. It’s capital city, Istanbul, has been for centuries a place where the most frequented trade routes converge, so it holds a cultural diversity that is difficult to find somewhere else. Along the centuries, this city has received many names, it was Byzantium for the ancient Greeks, Constantinople for the romans, and Istanbul for the Turkish. Turkey region has been home to great civilizations like Hitita culture (first to establish an Indo-European state in 1800 BC) or the civilizations of Urartu and Phrygia, Many battles have taken place between these and other civilizations along the history of Turkey. There are also many priceless remains of the first traces of human life in Anatolian lands, such as the Karain Cavern with archaeological remains belonging to Paleolithic period, they go back to about 100,000 years BC. Although the number of settlements increased considerably around the year 8000 BC In Çatalhöyükhay can also be found up to twelve sites with remains of ages ranging between 6500 and 5000 BC being the first organized urbanization in the history of mankind. Having been subsequently home of great ancient empires as the eastern roman empire and the ottoman empire, this city is one of the most historically emblematic places in the world.
At present, this country affects the area between the European Union in the west and Central Asia in the east, Russia in the north and the Middle East in the south, which has made this country increasingly strategically important.
If I could travel to Turkey would love to learn more about its cosmopolitan culture, especially the city of Istanbul for its great cultural diversity and large number of museums, churches, palaces, great mosques and bazaars. This is city in which more civilizations of East and West converge. I would also like to know more about Islam, the path of San Pablo and some ancient cities of Turkey as Troy, Assos or Petra.

I want to travel to Turkey now!
